Palpable Descent: #FamiliesBelongTogether

On Saturday, a swath of accounts from immigrant children separated from their parents, refugees, teachers, activists, and members of the U.S. House of Representatives stole the attention of more than 5,000 San Diegans who showed up to protest the Trump Administration’s policies on a cool and cloudy morning.

This was a different sort of rally than I’ve witnessed as a local thus far.  People are outraged, disturbed and raising their voices.  And they were paying attention to the First Lady’s jacket–even if she wasn’t–during her visit to a Texas detention center on Friday.

San Diego, Ca; Civic Center Plaza, June 23, 2018. #FamiliesBelongTogether March.
